Juniper Counseling specializes in supporting individuals and couples navigating kink, non-monogamy, desire discrepancies, shame, and sexual empowerment—especially for women and moms who are ready to reconnect with their bodies and desires.

This practice exists because too many people have felt isolated or misunderstood by traditional therapy. You're not too much, too curious, or too different—you’re just in the right place.

Therapy That Honors Who You Are

Therapy with me isn't clinical or cold. It's honest, warm, and deeply human. I meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you unpack the messages, patterns, and expectations that no longer serve you.

My role is not to tell you who to be but to help you feel safe enough to explore who you already are. Whether you're navigating non-monogamy, working through sexual shame, or rediscovering your desire after a major life shift, I offer a space that’s informed, nonjudgmental, and actually gets it.

Creating space for you to explore without shame, pressure, or pretense

My Approach: Therapy Rooted in Liberation and Real Talk

-Andrea Caggiano, MSW, LCSW, LAC

I’ve always been deeply attuned to the emotions of others. Even as a kid, I carried a strong sense of empathy and intuition. Over time, I learned that in order to truly show up for others, I had to learn how to show up for myself first. That lesson led me to a lifelong commitment to self-care, boundaries, and personal growth — all of which now shape the way I practice therapy.

I didn’t set out to be a therapist. I started college as a business major, but quickly realized it wasn’t for me (thanks, accounting). It was an Intro to Psychology class in 2005 that changed everything. I’ve been fascinated by human behavior, healing, and connection ever since.

My path has taken me from the suburbs of New York to rural New Mexico before landing in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I’ve lived with my family for over a decade. In recent years, I’ve been especially focused on reconnecting with what really matters — deepening my spiritual practice, investing in my relationships, and continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors: paddleboarding in the summer, skiing in the winter. I’m a huge hockey fan, an enthusiastic reader, and a determined (but not very skilled) knitter. I live with my partner and our two amazing kids, and my own experiences navigating long-term partnership and parenthood inform the way I support others in doing the same.

Helping people come home to themselves isn’t just my tagline — it’s the heart of my work.

Watching clients reconnect with their truth, step into their power, and find real peace in their relationships is why I do what I do.

I believe everyone deserves access to therapy that reflects their lived experience — not one that asks them to shrink or sanitize themselves to fit in.

Working with me is about more than just techniques or treatment plans. It’s about building a relationship where you feel truly seen, respected, and safe to show up as you are. I bring my full self into the room — not a therapist persona, but a real human who genuinely cares about your growth.

Therapy should feel grounded and collaborative, not clinical or cold. That’s why I invite curiosity, laughter, depth, and even music into the space. (Yes, the right playlist can shift everything.)

Here’s a glimpse of what’s playing in my office right now — the songs that help me slow down, connect, and hold space with care.

So many of us carry parts of ourselves in silence—our desires, our confusion, our fears. At Juniper Counseling, therapy is a space where you’re allowed to unpack what you’ve been told to hide.

What You’re Allowed to Bring Into the Room

Consider: Which of these feel familiar? Which make you hesitate? Which would you never say out loud?

You won't be met with shame here

Let’s talk and see if this feels like the right fit for you.

If something in my story or approach resonated with you, that’s not a coincidence. Therapy works best when there’s real connection — and if you’re here, there’s a good chance we’d work well together.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out. This is just a first step.
